ShowerPowerBoosters are 12 volt dc micro-pumps which draw less than 1 amp and 15 watts of power. Alan Wright has engineered these unique pumps for longevity and strength and the body can withstand 20 bars pressure – thats 10 times the pressure in many domestic homes.

The automatic pumps can withstand temperatures up to 65 degrees C and manual pumps over 85 degrees. They are designed for continuous running, they will not cavitate, they will not burn out even when run dry.

The patent covers the process required to allow a pump to give the same shower or tap flow of some pumps x20 bigger (as verified by Cranfield University). Two 15 watt pumps can replace a 3,000 watt twin volute pump. Direct sales to customers are reviewed by Trustpilot. Customers have given 1,478 five star reviews (84%).

When we first sold the pumps in 2012 , 50% of homes in the UK had gravity systems. Over time the number of gravity systems has fallen and now 80% of homes have combi boilers. At the same time we have incrementally improved the pumps so although the market for gravity showers has fallen, we have the only pump that is robust enough to boost flow and pressure on the hot side of a pressurised system.

Combi Boilers and indeed all tank less systems suffer when a tap flow takes priority over a shower. We offer the only option if you want to protect the shower flow and pressure which has opened up a huge market in the UK and throughout Europe. We offer the only effective and practical solution to this problem.

The Challenge

ShowerPowerBoosters are manufactured under licence in the UK by Flowflex Components Ltd which is an excellent route to market either B2B or B2C in the UK and B2B throughout the world. We sell mainly through word of mouth as we lack the advertising power of our competitors who sell inferior products at higher cost.

For years we have tried to attain endorsement from government bodies including councils (including Brian Burton of Norwich City Council). Despite offering substantial cash and revenue saving to councils and tenants, this has not worked to date. I would appreciate fresh ideas on how to influence organisations who rely on advice from officials. We are advertising the the Norwich City own Planning Journal (see pdf below)

The challenge is to make ShowerPowerBoosters the first choice when we offer the best solutions. To find new customers and plumbers working for customers, and to tell them this amazing product exists . The challenge is also to find a way selling outside the UK post Brexit.
