Energy Heat Stores (Validated by the University of East Anglia)

A tank device which converts simple existing hot water tanks into wonderfully efficient heat stores was invented in 2023. It was clearly novel with inventive step and a UK patent was granted in 2024. In 2025 it will receive European Patent protection.

It is a device which is attached to the outside the hot water cylinder and moves hot water from the top of the hot water cylinder to the bottom. It preserves a perfect themocline.

The team at the UEA is Stephano Landini, Jack Panter, and Davild Balaame. Prior to the UEA study it was known the invention worked and that it worked well however the study has revealed the process is not as predicted. Stephano Landini will be publishing a paper explaining how the process works and until that paper is published I offer the video below showing how it does not work!
